This Privacy Policy describes how Finance Hub ("the app", "we", "us") handles user information. Finance Hub is a Microsoft Store desktop application that provides real-time market tracking for stocks, cryptocurrencies, foreign exchange, and commodities.

1. Personal Information We Collect

Finance Hub does not collect any personal information. Specifically, we do not collect:

• Names, email addresses, phone numbers, or any contact information
• Account credentials, passwords, or authentication tokens
• Payment information or financial account details
• Location data (GPS, IP-based geolocation, or otherwise)
• Device identifiers, advertising IDs, or hardware fingerprints
• Browsing history, search history, or behavioral analytics
• Photos, contacts, calendar, or any other personal content

The application requires no user account, no registration, no login, and no sign-up of any kind.

2. Information Stored Locally on Your Device

The app stores the following non-personal preference data on your local device only, using standard browser localStorage. This data never leaves your computer and is never transmitted to us or any third party:

• Watchlist symbols you choose to track (for example, "AAPL" or "BTC-USD")
• Price alert levels you create
• UI theme preference (dark or light mode)
• Interface settings (sidebar state, selected timeframe, indicator toggles)
• Daily streak counter (a number indicating consecutive days the app was opened)

Uninstalling Finance Hub removes all this local data.

3. Third-Party Public Data Sources

To display market information, Finance Hub fetches publicly available financial data from the following third-party APIs. These requests are made directly from your device and contain only the financial instrument symbols you have selected. No personal information about you is ever transmitted to these services.

• Yahoo Finance - real-time price quotes and historical OHLCV data
• Financial Modeling Prep (FMP) - company profiles, fundamentals, analyst price targets
• Finnhub - analyst recommendations, company news headlines, insider transactions
• Federal Reserve Economic Data (FRED) - public macroeconomic indicators
• Public RSS feeds - news headlines from Yahoo Finance, CNBC, MarketWatch, BBC Business, Nasdaq, Benzinga
• USGS Earthquake API - public open seismic data
• Alternative.me - Crypto Fear and Greed Index (public)

4. Embedded Public Websites

Finance Hub embeds publicly accessible financial websites (TradingView, Yahoo Finance, CNBC, MarketWatch, Investing.com, Macrotrends, Finviz) inside built-in browser views. These third-party sites have their own privacy policies and may set their own cookies inside the embedded view. Finance Hub itself does not share any user information with these sites.

5. No Advertising and No Tracking

Finance Hub contains no advertisements, no sponsored content, no behavioral tracking, no telemetry, no analytics SDKs, no tracking pixels, and no third-party advertising networks of any kind.

6. Children's Privacy

Finance Hub is intended for general audiences and is not directed at children under the age of 13. Because we do not collect any personal information, no information about children is collected either.

7. International Users

Because Finance Hub does not collect personal information, there are no international data transfers initiated by the application itself. The third-party APIs listed in section 3 may operate their own infrastructure globally as part of their normal public service.

8. Security

Because Finance Hub does not collect or store personal information on any server, there is no central database that could be compromised. All local preference data is stored using standard operating system permissions on your own device.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this document. Material changes will be communicated through the Microsoft Store listing.
